This story is associated with the snakevine (Tinospora smilocina) and is located at Yanjirlpiri meaning 'star', which is to the west of Yuendumu.

Ngalyipi is a creeper than climbs up trunks and ranches of trees on spinifex plains and sandhills. It has many uses and is of great ceremonial importance. It has medicinal uses and is used as a shoulder strap to carry heavy items.
