Yarrenyty Altere Artists love using second hand materials. The artists use beautiful old woollen blankets as the base material for all their soft sculptures, scrap fabric and wool to make jewellery and linen off cuts from paintings to make dillybags and aprons.
Now a vibrant and dynamic hub, Yarrenyty Arltere Artists is seen as an important part in rebuilding strength in the community and creating economic access for people. Now people are participating at the Art Centre, there is greater social inclusiveness, and real and engaging pathways into wider society.
